The members of Kukkiwon are one of the best Taekwondo practitioners in the world. Among them one of the leaders was our own Master Hanbeom Jang who resides in Houston, Texas.

With popularity of Korean food, shows (Squid game), music (K-pop), now Korean martial arts called Taekwondo took on world stage as they finished top 5 in famous show America’s Got Talent. The Korean Martial Art, Taekwondo has been popular as ever. 

The members of Kukkiwon are one of the best Taekwondo practitioners in the world. Among them one of the leaders was our own Master Hanbeom Jang who resides in Houston, Texas. He holds 5th degree black belt which only top 0.6% of the whole Taekwondo practitioners in the world hold 5th black belt Dan or higher. 

Mr. Hanbeom Jang is one of the few individuals in the realm of Taekwondo who has risen to the very top of the field in theworld. He has a demonstrated record of extraordinary achievement. Mr. Jang has reached a level in this field that very few Taekwondo competitors have achieved.  His deep, extensive education and experience in all aspects of this enriching sport make perfectly qualified to impact our community and nationally in the field of Taekwondo.

 Mr. Jang's experience competing at the top level of Taekwondo qualifies his as an athlete of extraordinary ability. He has participated in highest level of Taekwondo tournaments and competitions. 
Mr. Jang has throughout his career helped people in needs especially physically-challenged students. He has passion to help kids with autism, ADHD and other special needs students.

Mr. Jang states “Kids on the autism spectrum often have trouble crossing the midline which is an important skill to have, and Taekwondo helps kids develop this.” Many therapists agree that Taekwondo also works on connecting the upper half of the body to the lower half, so arms can be in synch with the legs. That’s often an issue for kids on the spectrum. Mr. Jang also states that “Kids who are affected by ADHD also benefit from taekwondo. “It helps with focus and self-control. Building success also helps develop self-esteem.”

As Mr. Hanbeom Jang continues to train and build his place in this sport and discipline, we’re right here to celebrate his achievements and his life-changing impact on many students’ lives.
